Winter Swimming – Induction Course
Swim with us through the Winter Season by completing our Winter Induction course here at the Ocean Walker Academy!
The Ocean Walker Academy WINTER CLUB for open water swimming enthusiasts to continue to swim outdoors as the temperatures drop in our purpose built open water swimming lake, designed with swimmers safety in mind by owner - RLSS open water swimming safety ambassador and record breaking open water swimmer Adam Walker.
Allow 2 hours for the course.
We begin with a theory session in our Wellbeing Barn, then time to change into your swimwear and Adam Walker will take you into the water for a guided swim around our Winter swim route of the lake.
As well as learning about how to be safe in open water, what to expect in lower temperatures and what equipment you might like to invest in - you will also find out exactly how our sessions run, the route options available to you (we have a breaststroke route and a separate front crawl route) and meet likeminded people.
Once you have attended an induction you will be able to join us for our Winter swimming sessions from November to April.
THURSDAYS @ 9:30AM - 10:30AM
SATURDAYS @ 10AM - 11AM
(swim sessions to be booked online separately @ £15 per swim - discount packages available).
WINTER CLUB members will be able to come and enjoy a swim in Crystal Lake, followed by access to our luxury Wellbeing Barn to warm up afterward with hot drinks and cakes available for purchase from our cafe.
