Swim With Your Dog
There's nothing quite like watching your dog hit the water for the first time — and even better when you're jumping in right alongside them.
Ocean Walker Academy's Crystal Lake is now open for dog swimming sessions, and we want you both in it. Whether your dog launches themselves off the bank without a second thought or needs a little gentle encouragement to get their paws wet, our lake is the perfect place for it.
A lake built for this.
Our gradual entrance and exit points are lined with astroturf, making it easy and comfortable for dogs and their owners to walk in and out at their own pace. No steep edges, no sudden drops — just a natural, safe entry that lets your dog build confidence however slowly they need to. First-timers and seasoned swimmers are equally at home here.
The lake is set in the stunning Lincolnshire countryside at Hoop Lane Farm, Langton by Wragby — clean, open, and beautiful. Exactly the kind of place a dog would book if they could.
We also have a large open space opposite the lake where you and your dog can stretch your legs, have a sniff around, and make the most of the surroundings beyond the water.
Your 1-hour session.
Your hour gives you and your dog the full experience — swim, paddle, wade, or wander. There's no pressure and no programme. Just you, your dog, and the water.
These are group sessions with numbers kept deliberately limited, so you'll share the lake with a small number of other dogs and their owners. Please make sure your dog is comfortable and sociable in that kind of environment before booking.
What to expect:
- 1 hour lake access for you and your dog
- Astroturf gradual entry and exit for safe, easy access
- Large open space opposite the lake for walking and exploring
- Human lifejackets available to hire on the day for £5 per person (ask at reception)
- Suitable for all breeds and all swimming abilities
- Numbers limited to keep it relaxed and enjoyable for everyone
A few things to know before you come.
Please read these before booking — they exist to keep everyone (dogs included) safe and happy:
- Keep your dog on a lead at all times on land. Your dog is your responsibility throughout the session.
- Dogs comfortable in water may swim off-lead as long as you remain in full control of them at all times.
- This is a group session — please be mindful of other dogs and their owners throughout.
- Only floating toys are permitted in and around the lake.
- Our wetsuits are not available for hire during dog swim sessions.
- Humans must be competent swimmers.
Please read our full terms and conditions prior to booking. All bookings must be made online.
What to bring.
A few recommendations to get the most out of your session and keep your dog safe:
- A long leash for confidence in shallow water
- A dog lifejacket if your dog is new to swimming or not a strong swimmer (please bring your own)
- Patience — dogs tire quickly in water, so don't take them out of their depth
- A relaxed attitude — if they'd rather paddle and sniff the bank than swim, that's a brilliant day out too. Don't force it, make it fun
- At least two towels. Dogs shake at the worst possible moment. You've been warned.
