The Lincolnshire Wolds Outdoor Festival is a new event, taking place at a multitude of locations from 30th April to 5th June 2022 in the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the surrounding area.

We are proud to be part of the festival and excited to be the FESTIVAL FINALE DAY as we approach 1 year of being open! We will have a selection of incredible demonstrations for you to watch and take part in, as well as open water swim sessions, family splash and kayaking and sup.

Entrance fee:
Adults £6 per person
Under 14's £3 per person
Free Entry: If you book onto a paid activity (£3 per person for spectators arriving in the same vehicle as paying participants).

SORRY NO DOGS - due to the working dogs that will be onsite doing demonstrations, we will not be allowing dogs on this day.

Adam Walker has swum the toughest 7 ocean swims in the World

Written off by his surgeon, Adam found a way of swimming front crawl that uses the POWER OF THE CORE rather than chest and shoulders which enabled him to swim faster for longer and become the first brit to complete the Oceans Seven Challenge in 2014. Adam coaches his swim stroke technique globally for Triathlon, Channel Swimmers, Ironman and leisure swimmers alike, working with royalty and celebrities in improving their speed and stamina in the water.

Ocean Walker Technique Demonstration

Adam will be lakeside at the times below ready to talk you through the mechanics behind the stroke and how this not only helps to prevent injury, but allows you to swim effortlessly and within your body's natural range. Adam will be demonstrating his swimming in the lake plus Q&A.

CORE STRENGTH & PRIMAL MOVEMENT SESSIONS

Helen is a personal trainer and online coach specialising in behaviour change and holistic approaches to wellbeing. "I’m passionate about what I do, which is listening to people and coming up with plans to help them live their best life."
With a background in music and law, but after having my three children I developed a passion for fitness and worked as a personal trainer for a number of years. I soon realised that people needed more than just nutritional and workout advice, especially when they were trying to become leaner, and that’s when I became interested in nature and its importance in promoting wellbeing.

Introduction to Core Strength with The Wild Coach

Core strength is not just about having a six-pack! Your core includes your abdominal muscles, lower back, pelvic region and even your diaphragm. It’s so beneficial to everyone to develop a strong core as it is the foundation of the whole body. Introduction to Primal Movements with The Wild Coach

Primal movement is a free-flowing energetic form of fitness which incorporates a number of disciplines including strength, mobility, balance, cardiovascular fitness and core strength. The essential movements include crawling, squatting, jumping and twisting: all natural movements which many of us have lost through modern lifestyles. Have a go at experimenting with different moves at your own pace and experience a sense of fun and freedom, returning to the way we used to move in primitive times!

Sessions will be held outdoors on the grass. Please wear comfy/stretchy clothing suitable for exercise. No equipment will be supplied/used on these sessions, but feel free to bring a mat if you prefer.

NEWFOUNDLAND WATER RESCUE DEMONSTRATIONS

Pete Lewin Newfoundlands began as a water rescue demonstration group. Whilst working as a HART Paramedic and being trained in water rescue, Pete saw the potential for the dogs to be used in real life rescue. Along with his team, Pete developed immobilisation manoeuvres and a human cradle to rescue people involved in water incidents, using the dogs to pull them back to shore.
Newfoundlands are one of the most loyal, affectionate, and protective breeds you can find. They have a gentleness towards children and are laid-back, relaxed and love to chill with some fuss. Above all else, they are one of the most handsome dogs around and make fantastic emotional support dogs.

Newfoundland Dog Rescue Demonstration

Pete and his team of humans and Newfies (WINNERS OF HERO DOG AWARD AT CRUFTS 2022) will be putting on an amazing demonstration of how Newfoundland Dogs can save a human in different situations from the water. With his many years serving as a Paramedic, Pete has even created his own water rescue procedure!

Pete will be demonstrating how his Newfoundland dogs are used for wellbeing sessions, an amazing way to heal using the gentleness of water, therapy dogs and nature. Pete will be running Water Therapy sessions here at the Ocean Walker Academy Lake this year.

MINDFULNESS WALK and HYPNOTHERAPY SESSION

Husband and wife team Clem and Margaret (known as Mags) are highly experienced hypnotherapy practitioners.
Amongst their many talents Clem specialises in stress, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, PTSD, pain management and sports psychology. Mags also specialises in anxiety and also weight management, confidence, fears and phobias and helping people to stop smoking.
Clem supported Adam Walker throughout each of his record breaking ocean swims with hypnotherapy and mind-set training.

Mindfulness Walk

Mags will be leading a Mindfulness Walk around the Ocean Walker Academy grounds. Taking in nature, sights, sounds and scents. This will be a very relaxed walk around the lake with stopping points and time to reflect.

You can show up and join in on the day, but we do recommend you reserve your place on your preferred session prior to the event. This is an outdoor session, so please wear comfortable clothing and shoes for a short walk, and bring your own cushion if you prefer not to sit directly on the grass during reflection.

Intro to Hypnotherapy - Group Session

Clem will be leading a hypnotherapy session in our wellbeing barn. He will be talking about hypnotherapy, the myths and how it can help with different issues. He will then lead a relaxation session with all attendees.

Limited spaces available - MUST BOOK YOUR PLACE
This session will be held indoors, with seating provided. The Wellbeing Barn is a No-Shoe Zone, so please ensure you have some socks on to keep those toes warm!
