My dog appears to hate swimming, unless she has to cross a river in pursuit of a pheasant. I thought I’d take her along to a safe, wave-free open swim to see if she would enjoy it. She didn’t at all, and couldn’t get out fast enough. She wasn’t the only spaniel who doesn’t like water. However, we still had a lovely afternoon and enjoyed walking round the lake and meeting the other dogs and their owners.
The event was really well organised and felt safe and relaxed. It was a great environment to swim together and I’m very sorry that Dixie didn’t enjoy it so I’ll stick to going on my own. Thanks very much for the opportunity to try her out in the stunning lake.
