I had a great time at the taster event on 6th August. Plenty of like minded people and such a beautiful, peaceful place. I only realised afterwards how much less warm the water happened to be that Sunday than it had been for ages - look how I managed to avoid the use of the forbidden word there! I really hope I will be able to swim in the lake many times in the future as it was such a wonderful feeling, both while swimming and of achievement afterwards. The inspiration to get a whole group of us marching into the water chanting "Warm, warm, warm!" and even almost believing it was brilliant! Lots of great advice about future wild swimming here and elsewhere, so thoroughly worthwhile. Great cake too!
